RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with the Director to coordinate and implement service line marketing, and traditional and digital advertising efforts to promote the services, events and activities of The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS) and its entities.

Assures marketing efforts and activities meet established goals, objectives and timelines to promote QHS as Hawaii’s healthcare leader.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. SERVICE LINE MARKETING:

Under the direction of the Director, writes content and works with an in-house creative team and service line representatives to produce traditional and digital marketing materials to support new and existing programs and services.

Coordinates and implements other related marketing projects, functions, and activities as assigned.

B. EVENT MARKETING: Responsible for organizing and coordinating event details related to marketing, including display materials, collateral, advertisements, and promotional giveaways for expos, health fairs and other QHS-sponsored events.

C. ADVERTISING:

Assists the Director with media buying efforts and advertising traffic.

Coordinates direct mail projects for QHS, serving as liaison between members of Creative Services, internal departments and external print and fulfillment vendors.

D. DIGITAL MARKETING AND WEBSITE MAINTENANCE: Writes and updates website content.

E. Performs other related duties as assigned.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting, walking, stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

Frequent: standing, lifting usual weight up to 25 pounds; carrying usual weight of 5 pounds up to 20 pounds; reaching above, at, and below shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions, climbing stairs.

Occasional: twisting body, pushing/pulling.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or related field.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Two (2) years of experience in a Marketing or Communications position, preferably in a corporate, health care, nonprofit or advertising/public relations agency environment.

• Experience to demonstrate the following:

• Ability to coordinate marketing functions and activities.

• Strong verbal communication skills.

• Strong writing and editing skills, and a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively with a broad range of people.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Exposure to web monitoring and analytic tools highly desirable.
