Overview

Employee Digital Experience is seeking a UX and Product Design Specialist to join our dynamic, entrepreneurial team with focus on emerging technologies, innovation and expanding the possibilities of what digital products can offer our global organization. This highly motivated and entrprenurial individual will bring their people-first mindset to help our group advance the impact of employee facing applications and platforms, as well as support our organizations’s digital transformation journey. The position reports to the Director of Digital Experience and UX.

In this highly energized role, you will be responsible for designing and testing various aspects of the user experience, such as interfaces, interactions, flows, and prototypes. You will also collaborate with other designers, researchers, developers, engineers, communications teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across our platforms and initiatives. You will help support our broader Digital Engagement team with special design projects as needed. Finally, you will have influence over large-scale initiatives and have a significant impact on scaling product rollouts for Mastercard’s 50K+ internal customers (employees) around the world.

Role and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should have deep UX experience, strong design skills and an interest in technology worktools. In this highly visible role, you will:

• Participate in initiative-level sessions, contribute to research studies, and participate in product experience design workshops

• Implement design decisions on initiatives, heavily influenced by research findings

• Leverage design best practices and patterns when feasible; proposing and codifying new patterns when appropriate

• Seek to fully understand user problems and lead others in developing a shared understanding and alignment of solutions that best fit user needs

• Produce, test and iterate on experience artifacts, including user flows, interaction models, prototypes, wireframes, low/high fidelity sketches, and design specifications

• Support the management of Digital platforms and site(s) as needed.

• Create and manage Power Platform flows and automations

All About You:

• An intermediate level of experience hands-on with UX and/or related discipline

• A portfolio of UX design projects that demonstrate your skills and process

• Knowledge of UX research methods, such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics

• Experience with UX design tools, such as Figma and Adobe Suite

• Mastery of Microsoft O365 suites of applications

• Ability to communicate effectively and present your design decisions and rationales

• A growth mindset and a willingness to learn and improve your craft

• A passion for solving user problems and creating delightful experiences

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Purchase, New York: $89,000 - $141,000 USD
