FOX40 is seeking a highly motivated and creative Promotions Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic promotional campaigns across all platforms to drive viewership and engagement for our news, weather, and lifestyle programming.

MAJOR PURPOSE: Work hand in hand with the Creative Services Director to strategize community outreach and display our branding within the Sacramento/Stockton/Modesto market.

Must be a highly motivated and creative individual who can write promotional announcements, campaigns and social media/digital marketing. This position will be joining a successful creative production team in a very competitive market. Must have excellent time management skills.

Assists in setting station marketing priorities from strategy through execution on air, online and through partnerships. Oversee scheduling all promos according to station priorities as set up by Creative Services Director and General Manager. Must be able to work well independently, and with a team.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Creative Services Director to develop and execute promotional campaigns for news, weather programming across all platforms, including television, digital, and social media

Oversees copy editing of commercial production and creates sponsorship opportunities for clients and related brand extensions.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in television promotion.

Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.

Collaborate with creative team and cross-functionally with the News department.

Demonstrates thorough understanding of station traffic and automation systems by putting spots in Wide Orbit with proper log scheduling.

Qualifications:

4+ years previous creative services experience in a broadcasting, agency or post-production environment.

Experience with video editing, graphic design, and social media marketing a plus.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful promotional campaigns.

Exceptional communication, collaboration, and time management skills.

Excellent creative and strategic thinking skills.

Strong understanding of broadcast and digital marketing principles.

Compensation - $68,000+ commensurate with experience and skill level
