About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Segment Influencer (Lead Business Growth Strategy Consultant) within National Advice and Acquisition as part of Consumer, Small and Business Banking.

As a Segment Influencer, you will work directly with a Regional Banking Director and District Managers to drive customer engagement that leads to affluent and small business growth. This role promotes/supports execution of business growth programs, improves client acquisition techniques, and identifies opportunities to improve sales effectiveness. This role enables optimization of both the Premier Banker and Small Business Banker roles.

In this role, you will:
  • Serve as the lead conduit between the segment & the field to integrate growth initiatives and education
  • Be a key consultant with market leaders on activities to drive Affluent and Small Business plan and ensure adoption of tools and resources. Examples include but are not limited to outreach, needs assessment tools, pipeline review, CRV (Customer Relationship View), BDCAS (Business direct credit application status)
  • Execute Affluent and Small Business priorities with market leadership including alignment of growth strategies, business unit and P&L (Profit & Loss) reviews
  • Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and policies within Affluent and Small Business growth strategy
  • Collaborate and consult with managers, partner groups and stakeholders to grow market share and meet customer needs
  • Develop and lead District Manager segment meetings and programs, conduct branch visits with District Manager, and assist with credit and service escalations
  • Engage in various activities at the branch and district level to ensure alignment with Affluent and Small Business strategy
  • Utilize data and learnings from branch and district interactions to ensure progress, alignment, and prioritization with Affluent, Small Business and Branch strategy to drive growth
  • Lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ Experience in Affluent, Small Business or a combination of the two
  • Strong partnership skills to ensure high levels of collaboration with local and cross channel leadership
  • Broad understanding of how the bank branches operate
  • Understanding of affluent metrics, small business metrics, branch P&L and the ability to support and/or deliver Regional Affluent/Small Business expectations to achieve plans
  • Familiarity with Behavior Framework and Management Cycle
  • Extensive product knowledge (loans, lines, merchant, treasury management, Prime/Premier checking, entire Wells Fargo Premier offering)
  • Understanding of cash flow, how to explain it and how various products impact customer cash flow
  • Credit skills including long term and short-term financing, how to review a declined/countered credit app, high level understanding of financials
  • Understanding of the business operating cycle
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong detail orientation


Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel upwards of 70% of the time
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel within assigned geography and sit within branch locations minimum 3 days per week
