Responsibilities
Create and executes visual communications project plans and related initiatives. Supports the development of visually compelling materials, guided by our corporate brand guidelines, for internal and external advertising, marketing and websites. Conceptualizes graphic design ideas and content to present to manager. Executes assigned tasks and priorities within creative team, working within project schedules and deadlines. Maintains and organizes visual communications assets and archiving as needed. Applies PCL's branding (language and visual elements) to creative services pieces. Adheres to brand guidelines in all visual creation. Conducts research, interviews and collaborates with subject matter experts to create engaging visuals.
Qualifications
Postsecondary degree or diploma in film studies or a related discipline. Co-op/Intern experience preferred. Basic understanding of various communications and marketing mediums. Develops visual content that relays a clear message. Understanding of design and branding principles. Knowledge of pre-press, offset and digital printing process. Understanding of design and advertising principles. Demonstrates strong foundational design skills through design portfolio. Basic skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient skill with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
