Private consulting MEP firm is searching for a Sr. Technology Designer.
About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of low-voltage cabling systems for voice, data, and audio/visual applications.Responsibilities* Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and determine cabling needs* Design and develop detailed cabling plans and specifications in accordance with BICSI standards and codes* Select appropriate cabling types, equipment, and materials for each project* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project coordination* Perform site inspections to verify compliance with design plans and specifications* Maintain a working knowledge of the latest telecommunications technologies and industry standardsQualifications* RCDD certification from BICSI* Minimum of 10+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling design* Strong understanding of BICSI standards and codes (TIA/EIA standards)* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsBenefits* Competitive salary and benefits package* Opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects* Work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
