We’re looking for a communications manager to join the Global Communications team. The individual will play an active role in managing proactive corporate storytelling, ceo speaking engagements and support for

some of the brand’s biggest priorities, including the company’s ceo.

The communications manager will partner with a highly capable team on corporate storytelling and building the ceo’s brand – helping to vet and manage executive engagement opportunities, proactively identify and pursue engagement opportunities, hone the ceo’s voice internally and externally and collaborate with cross functional teams to most effectively tell the Starbucks story. This individual will leverage their strong understanding of the media landscape, our stakeholders and a passion for storytelling to drive Starbucks and its leaders forward.

As a corporate and executive communications manager, you will…

Help develop and execute earned media and executive engagement efforts supporting key corporate initiatives and our ceo to positively advance our reputation, build trust with key stakeholders and drive engagement across priority audiences and topics.

Recommend, develop and pursue earned media opportunities aligned to our biggest corporate priorities; participate in an editorial planning process with a cross-functional team.

Support, refine and drive forward an executive engagement plan that proactively positions our ceo as a thought leader with both internal and external stakeholders; ensure efforts align with current events, upcoming engagements and corporate priorities.

Draft and develop resources to support executive engagements, leveraging strong writing capabilities, a strong understanding of current events, relevant issues and a detailed knowledge of our business.

Compile monthly and quarterly and ad-hoc reports to measure growth and identify opportunities in alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).

Identify external engagement opportunities, coordinate appropriate actions for inbound requests, and uphold a review and approval process for all activities.

Act as a resource, partner and advisor to other teams, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure executive engagements are resonate and impactful.
