Senior Designer Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Designer to join our innovative team. The Senior Designer will play a critical role in the design and development of marine vessels and offshore structures. This position requires a creative individual with extensive experience in marine design, excellent technical skills, and the ability to lead design projects from concept to completion.
Senior Designer ResponsibilitiesCreate and develop detailed design drawings and specifications for various marine vessels and offshore structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, design calculations, and material specifications.Lead design projects, coordinating with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure design objectives are met within budget and on schedule.Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and provide expert guidance and innovative solutions.Ensure all designs meet relevant regulatory requirements and classification society rules (e.g., ABS, DNV, USCG).Conduct design reviews and quality checks to ensure high standards of accuracy, functionality, and safety.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine design and technology, and implement best practices to enhance design quality and efficiency.Senior Designer Position RequirementsAssociates degree.At least two years of undergraduate studies from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Engineering.Experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD#LI-Onsite
