What You’ll DO:

The Creative Director will create a lasting impression among customers and improve product sales and market share. This is achieved by ensuring that the company's advertising and marketing activities are designed according to brand standards. The Creative Director is responsible for product and service coordination, assisting with the development and defining the overall vision and strategy. This position works closely with other departments to provide internal and external marketing support. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Creative Director develops and designs the production process for a variety of marketing and communication projects. They oversee all aspects of the design and production process to ensure timely delivery, best-in-class quality, and cost control.

Manage the creative elements that inform, engage, attract, and sell the company’s brand and services to local communities.Coordinate all Graphic Design Production projects and approvals from inception to completion.Assist with the planning, creative ideation, execution, and post-production of original marketing and demand creation ideas and materials.Establish action plans and daily or weekly reporting processes to ensure visibility and delivery of results. Continuously improve and enhance the effectiveness and innovation of all graphic design production output and standards.Develop design concepts, mockups, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.Oversee in-house print production including project planning, workflow management, quality control, press checks, cost control, logistics coordination, vendor management, procurement, and other related production activities and assignments. Review all print files for quality control (spelling, grammar, color consistency, and creative) and ensure they are properly set up for printing.Maintain brand and style guides which detail the proper use of all brand trademarks and logos. Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to provide direction in achieving compliance and uniformity of all company standards. Maintain brand standards and integrity of brand representation.Develop, acquire, and manage visual assets (photography, video, animations), rights, and renewal plans to be used in a variety of creative projects. Maintain and evaluate the library of visual assets to ensure files can be accessed efficiently.What You Will NEED:

A University degree or equivalent experience is required. Related degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, and Graphic Design is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a creative leadership role and related Graphic Design Production experience is required. Strong portfolio exhibiting accomplished graphic design and production skills.Demonstrated ability to apply consistent layout and production skills to a variety of marketing communications including brochures, event material, print and electronic invitations, web and social media graphics, and infographics in different formats – all for print, digital and interactive media.Understanding of and experience in corporate branding, layout color theory and typography in both print and digital media.Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).Strong understanding of branding, marketing, and advertising principles.Related industry experience (i.e. retail, hospitality, leisure, fitness, etc.) and a passion for fitness are preferred.Applies excellent organizational, time management and project management skills and tools to manage multiple, complex, varying, sometimes competing Graphic Design Production projects. Plans and establishes priorities to meet deadlines.Demonstrated communication and influencing skills – ability to sell ideas and plans to internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.High-energy individual who is able to work semi-autonomously, comfortable with ambiguity and embraces change.Strong, interpersonal and relationship-building skillsAbility to act with tact, diplomacy and professionalism.Hours are 9am – 5pm with the ability to work extra hours, as required to complete deadlines.Ability to work with a sense of urgency and demonstrates a “roll up the sleeves” mentality.What We Offer YOU:

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TravelSome club visits may be expected.
