POSITION SUMMARY:

The YMCA of Central Kentucky is seeking a

Marketing Manager

who will lead the development and execution of the comprehensive content strategy for the association. The

Marketing Manager

will implement on-going tactics of internal and external messaging through the organizations' digital content (website, email, and blog) and social media platforms, with a strong focus on storytelling to highlight the impact of the YMCA.

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.Possess a deep understanding of social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube - and know how content and conversation can build and grow a brand.Have a passion and interest in staying on top of the latest trends and topics that matter to Central Kentuckians and know when to capitalize (or not) on moments in pop culture.Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail.Adaptable to different working styles, mindsets, and personalities showcasing a willingness to collaborate with all.Design/photography/video editing skills and experience managing website content and email marketing campaigns.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The incumbent must have the competencies, skills and proven leadership ability to successfully carry out the YMCA's mission, goals and vision for serving the community. Other important competencies of the position include the following:

Social Media

Plan, write, and manage plans and key events in the YMCA of Central KY social media management platform calendar.Manage day-to-day posting and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.Monitor all YMCA of Central KY social media channels for comments, tagged posts, and mentions of the Y brand and respond and engage with the community when appropriate.Identify social media accounts and profiles that the Y should follow and engage with the accounts on a regular basis.Proactively identify potential content opportunities - trending themes, pop culture moments, hashtags, sounds, etc. to help drive the Y's content strategy and content planning.Lead content asset management - including but not limited to capturing content, providing social coverage at events, crafting compelling copy; recruiting key staff and volunteers to assist in sharing photos and videos; manage, organize, and store all assets through various tools for the benefit of and collaboration with the marketing department and partners/vendors.Web Content

Manage ongoing web content updates including event listings, landing page edits, other updates as necessary.Curate and create compelling and relevant blog content that highlights relevant topics, programs and events, and the Y community.Utilize best practices for SEO that result in high levels of engagement as demonstrated by usage, traffic, and conversions.Email

Develop and execute overall email strategy to communicate effectively to members, program participants, donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.Curate content for monthly member and donor e-newsletters.Design and implement campaigns that support membership, program, and philanthropic efforts of the association. Leverage segments, audiences, and automation to optimize efficacy of campaigns and performance.Other

Work cooperatively with all staff, including attendance in staff meetings to gain better understanding of the Y's marketing and communications strategy.Work closely with the program directors, member experience team, philanthropy team, and other stakeholders to support marketing needs and align content with organizational goals.Ensure all content and communications maintain brand consistency and adhere to YMCA guidelines.Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing platforms. Make data-driven decisions to improve performance.Take initiative to support and execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned within the marketing and communications department, ensuring a collaborative and adaptable team environment.
