Marketing Manager, Cozy Games

As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for an unannounced game. This role requires a creativeand strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the gaming industry, marketing trends, and consumer behavior. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in launchingsuccessful game titles and driving engagement across multiple channels.

Must haves:Experience developing go-to-market strategies that turn original IP into household namesPassionate about the cozy genre, MMOs and games like Animal Crossing, Spirited Away, and Palia.Has worked on games that are available on multiple platformsHas launched a multiplayer game.Strong focus on early community building through marketing. Heavy alpha and public beta beats as you see in the MMO or multiplayer space. Can help build the engine that starts to accumulate a large, active community pre and post launch.Post launch understands reengagement tactics over multiple years.Has experience on the dynamics of multiplayer GaaS to help educate the broader organizationResponsibilities:

Define the overall marketing strategy for an upcoming game including positioning, unique selling points, key messaging, and campaign goalsCreate, lead, and execute go-to-market campaigns that drive conversation in partnership with key stakeholdersDefine roadmaps, deliverables, owners, and work back schedules for campaign beatsIn partnership with cross-functional teams, succinctly articulate and write strategies, briefs, memos, or any documentation needed to communicate our marketing approach and vision.Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including but not limited to Creative Production, Brand, Product, CI, Localization, QA, Game Production, Game Design, Title Marketing, Social, Partner Marketing, etc.Manage external partners including but not limited to, creative /social/influencer agencies, and researchers, to make sure company brand values and tone of voice are followedOversee product marketing budget and maximize the effectiveness of campaigns within budget.Qualifications:

At least 7 years of experience in game publishing/marketing; ideally having created successful marketing campaigns for multiple games on a variety of platforms and genres with a focus on F2P Live Service mobileExperience working across multiple game marketing functions including community management, social, player support, Comms, and User AcquisitionExperience building successful marketing campaigns for both original and licensed IP large entertainment IPs in collaboration with filmmakers, showrunners, studios, and license holdersProven experience as a steward of game marketing from a game portfolio perspective with the ability to support our brand vision, position, and architecture and achieve overall business goals for gamesExperience partnering with product development teams to make insight-informed decisions that impact membersAble to galvanize and influence teams and partners across departments at all levelsUsed multiple agencies and vendors working in concert to create a cohesive product marketing campaignAble to collaborate with creatives to create a lasting impression among playersHave a style that promotes respect, credibility, and trust throughout the organization

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $90 to $100 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
