The Reading Subscriptions team is responsible for Kindle Unlimited, Amazon’s digital reading subscription which offers members all over the world access to millions of titles across eBooks, audiobooks, comics, magazines, and more, and Prime Reading, the flagship reading benefit for Prime customers.

We are looking for an innovative, entrepreneurial, creative and data-driven Sr. Product Marketing Manager to lead new customer acquisition. This is a high impact role that directly influences the growth of Reading Subscriptions.

Our growth requires a leader who has a true “owner” mentality, thrives on breaking down and solving complex problems and brings a relentless focus to getting things done. We are seeking someone who is creative, highly analytical, customer-obsessed, and excels at earning trust with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving new customer acquisition in innovative categories, take ownership of the business, and be comfortable driving a mix of strategy through to the brass tacks of execution.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead and drive new customer acquisition for Kindle Unlimited

• Grow the business and increase service penetration in our priority audience and customer targets. Align our Marketing, Product, Selection and Tech teams to best drive service growth.

• Lead a global, cross-functional set of stakeholders across marketing, finance and partner teams to develop the sales and demand generation plan, then oversee the inputs required to hit/exceed the plan

• Partner with stakeholders to drive demand generation, merchandising, detail page conversion, cross-site promotional strategies and off-site traffic drivers and tactics

• Lead high velocity events for Reading Subscriptions, coordinating globally and partnering with central teams

• Own the annual promotional calendar, discounting plan and working with finance to manage P&L impact / implications

• Define experimentation roadmap, regularly optimizing programs based on learnings

• Own promotional guidance and promotional efficiency, partnering with Finance

• Develop and analyze acquisition KPIs, proactively reporting results and learnings across the organization, partner teams, and leadership

• Establish vision, goals, and key KPIs for success, and report on progress and path to green

About the team

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager will be part of the Reading Subscriptions Global Marketing Team. As part of this team, you will drive new customer acquisition. The Reading Subscriptions Marketing team looks to strikes a balance between scaled, customer-obsessed, data-driven decision making and nimbleness with a bias for action. We are collaborative in nature, and firm believers in working hard, having fun and teamwork.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

7+ years of experience leading business verticals/functions accountable for driving business performance

Experience working cross-functionally with highly matrixed teams

Experience in excel, data mining, data management, and reporting

Quantitative skills and experience with financial and/or analytical modeling and analysis

Experience driving alignment and establishing priorities across multiple stakeholder groups

Experience working in highly analytical and strategic environments (e.g. strategy, business, and analytics functions)

Experience overseeing consumer marketing strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience driving customer growth and for subscription businesses

Strength in leading by influence with an ability to inspire and align stakeholders to achieve a specific goal

Comfortable working in a deeply collaborative, technical, and creative organization

A hands-on leader who is able to operate at all levels of the organization

Strong analytical background with a passion for data analysis

Experience working with Product and Tech teams to drive improvements in business performance

Advanced knowledge of experimentation strategies

Proven ability to think big and influence across workgroups and business units

Self-starter with a bias for action; can make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Think long term; experience in making strategic trade-offs to accelerate business growth

Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
