Job Description

The IT Product Design Engineer 4 is a professional, specialist position considered the "creative vision" for specialized products. This position provides content development, technical orientation and user perspective to online products, services, and communities by guiding and ensuring consistency throughout the site by following company image and quality standards. This position teams with creative and technical leads to manage strategy. This role manages the production of online content from product concept through completion, including product updates and revisions. This person serves as a liaison among user awareness, strategic alliances, product management and product development to integrate a variety of content and to achieve a consistent, successful product for the user. This person may interact with third party technology. This position may oversee work performed by others and serve as inspiration to the direction of the unit while not managing people.

This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.

Responsibilities

Lead subject area initiatives for the enterprise

Use a wide variety of UX tools and methodologies to solve complex problems utilizing Information Architecture Content Strategy and Usability

Plan and conduct assignments, involving larger and more complex projects

Partner with the product manager and product team to define problems & goals, map user flows, prototype interactions, and oversee the building process

Lead the creation and execution of the product vision and road map

May serve as an advisor to other professionals

Test and iterates on existing design

Pioneer subject area competencies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent professional experienceEight years of professional experienceExpert in user experience competencies, such as:Analysis and requirements managementInformation ArchitectureInteraction DesignUsability EngineeringVisual DesignPrototype EngineeringUser researchDemonstrated leadership in subject area for organizations and the industryExtensive business acumen with transferable skill sets across industries/portfolios.Excellent writing and presentation skillsExperienced working with Agile teamsThis job operates in a professional office environmentTo successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipmentPreferred:
