The Ford Pro Digital/UX team is looking for a high-impact and versatile UX Design Program Manager to join our team. Candidates must be collaborative by nature—willing to lead, execute, optimize and adjust both work product and processes—based on feedback and input from stakeholders.

What you'll do…

The UX Design Program Manager is a member of the Program Management team in Ford Pro's global Digital & UX group, which sits within the Marketing division.

This position will directly support Design and Program Management leaders and team members as they design intuitive, useful and appealing digital experiences that resonate with Ford Pro users and align with Ford's brand standards.

Core responsibilities include coordination both within design teams and between teams and their stakeholders, facilitating design collaboration, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that might impact project success, and providing guidance and support for design teams as they iterate through the design process.

This role will oversee design process and infrastructure planning as well as planning, organization and communication around design projects themselves. From start to finish, the Design Program Manager will help ensure seamless and engaging experiences for global Ford Pro customers that meet user needs, comply with the Ford Pro Design System and fulfill business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

Understand the UX design process from concept to implementation

Speak authoritatively on topics including wireframes, prototypes, interaction patterns and visual designs for use interfaces

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritization details and feedback

Ensure consistent and satisfying experiences for design team members and customer alike across Ford Pro's tools, authoring environments and applications

Enable design teams to efficiently and consistently conduct user research and usability testing to support iterative product development

Staying up to date on the commercial vehicles domain, and on UX Design trends and best practices

Work with Design and Program Management teams to continuously refine processes and methodologies to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.

You'll have…

Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience

6+ years of experience in design, usability, or related roles

Can use their excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills to convey complex concepts effectively

Even better, you may have…

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences, UX Design, UX Research, Interaction Design, HCI, Ergonomics, Human Factors, Psychology, etc. (or equivalent experience)

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion in a remote and dynamic working environment

Passion for analyzing systems and continually improving them

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Axure RP, Adobe XD, etc.

Experience creating responsive designs for web and mobile applications

Knowledge of usability principles and user-centered design methodologies

Ability to collaborate with designers, authors, developers and stakeholders to uncover and document both issues and opportunities in the design space, and propose/implement process and/or technology solutions

Keen appreciation for user-centric and user-friendly interfacesDetail-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting delivery of high-quality UX designs

Comfortable showcasing past UX-related projects, design thinking, expertise with research methodologies
