Ideal Candidate Requirements:* Excellent knowledge of Revit is preferred.* Bachelor's degree in engineering from an engineering curriculum in civil/structural or related engineering.* Two or more years of experience in residential or commercial structural design* Very strong sense of self-discipline* Someone who knows how to design residential and commercial structures to meet NDS, ACI, and AISC codes* Knowledge of up-to-date construction methodology and building codes* Knowledge of project engineering principles and practices* Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills* Must be a professional, detail-oriented, self-motivated team-player
Responsibilities:* You will be assigned residential and commercial projects, ranging from remodels and additions, to high-end luxury custom homes, and will be responsible for the entire project. A typical project flow includes the following process:* Introduce yourself to the client. Provide preliminary drawings to the client to review. These drawings will need to be completed in Revit. You will Perform engineering calculations, vertical and lateral using Enercalc, Risa and Excel.Finalize plans, details, and calculations and send them to the stamping engineer for review.Once the review is complete, make any applicable revisions and send them to the client.
