For more information about our AOC platform, clinical development pipeline, and people, please visit www.aviditybiosciences.com and engage with us on LinkedIn and Twitter.The Opportunity The VP, US Marketing is a senior leader accountable for Avidity’s brand planning and execution in the U.S. This position will report to the regional leader and is responsible for functions within the marketing department, including HCP, patient and digital efforts. They will recruit and develop a marketing leadership team and will sit on the US commercial leadership team. This position will work cross-functionally across the company to support launch and commercialization of products in the US market.What You Will Contribute

Build and lead a US Marketing team with brand leads, HCP, Patient and digital marketing.Lead pre-commercialization marketing activities including brand planning and execution, patient identification and digital efforts.Create a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with the company's overall goals, including brand positioning, key messaging, and targeted audiences (patients, HCPs, caregivers, etc.).Partner with Medical Affairs and patient advocacy on HCP and patient educational initiatives.Build relationships with KOLs, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare professionals.Partner with the global franchise lead to develop product and brand positioning.Translate brand and physician insights into actionable marketing programs.Oversee the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns across various platforms.Understand and apply US regulations and guidelines for marketing treatments for rare diseases. Contribute to an efficient and compliant medical and legal review process.Proactively collaborate with key business partners and regions including the Global Program Heads, global marketing and ex-US general managers.Develop a technology platform and plan in partnership with IT to support product launches.Work with outside agencies and partners to meet marketing objectives.Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.Partner with sales leadership to identify and create the most productive sales materials.Partner with the training team to onboard all new team members.Develop a communication plan to highlight our patient services efforts.Establish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing campaigns.What We Seek

Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or other Advanced Degree preferred.Minimum of 15 years of life sciences industry experience.Extensive working knowledge of strategic and brand marketing and omni-channel approaches.Minimum 8 years experience leading regional marketing teams.Success operating in multiple organizational models.Prior collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders and investigators.Proven track record of developing talent and being a culture champion.Experience with key aspects of US regulatory filings and launches.Experience in competitive rare disease launch and commercialization in the U.S.A background in antibody delivery or siRNA and PMO is a plus.Demonstrated excellent communication (oral and written), matrix leadership, stakeholder engagement, change management, leadership, integration, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work from our La Jolla office at least 40%.Ability to travel as needed up to 30%.What We will Provide to You:

The base salary range for this role is $300,000-350,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.Avidity offers competitive compensation and benefits which includes the opportunity for annual and spot bonuses, stock options and RSUs, as well as a 401(k) with an employer match.
