The Opportunity

We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to join our team who will lead and guide our marketing strategy across the Meriton network of companies with the goal of creating a dynamic, supportive and engaging workplace.

The CMO will be responsible for managing the marketing team, overseeing the development of marketing plans, budgets, project management, and successful implementation of those plans. Meriton’s CMO should have a holistic view of marketing and communications with an integrated approach to internal communications, branding, local marketing, digital marketing, and PR.

The CMO reports directly to the CEO and serves as a business partner to the Shared Services team and Operating Company leadership to enable each part of the organization to successfully connect with their core audiences and achieve their business goals.

This position will be a trusted advisor to the Meriton Executive Leadership Team across all portfolio companies, helping our rapidly growing organizations and teams develop and execute plans for driving positive change. The CMO must have a passion for building and supporting a world-class team while developing deliverables and resources that enable growth and impact. This position will be viewed as a trusted resource by employees and an invaluable strategic partner to the Meriton Executive Leadership Team.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is directly responsible for leading all employees within the department.

QualificationsThe successful candidate will be a service-oriented, strategic professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial team environment that is driven by the Meriton core values and is results-oriented. The individual will have energy, intellectual capacity, strategic business acumen and professional integrity. The duties of this position require the ability to work proactively to balance multiple tasks and manage a variety of internal “clients” simultaneously. The ideal background includes:

3-5 years in a marketing leadership role within the AEC/manufacturing/HVAC industry and 10+ years of marketing experience.

Experience with M&A and financial communications.

Change management experience.

Marketing agency experience is a plus.

Experience managing marketing agencies with an in-house team.

Proficient in MS Office and business software (e.g., CRM, project management, intranet, etc.).

Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications and/or an MBA.
