The Senior Manager, RGM Promotions is critical in the planning and execution of our pricing and promotion strategy that feeds the US Commercial goals. Work output will be featured at the highest levels of the company with real opportunity to influence business direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of the promotion strategy for the US and manage its execution
Engage with finance team to ensure annual promotion plan remains within annual budget
Develop and socialize promotion strategies for each promotion cycle with broader Commercial and Leadership team
Facilitate the promo execution process by ensuring timely delivery of program guides and other deliverables
Maintain and update inputs for promotion breakeven models
Model promotion type and depth effectiveness for strategic chains and tailor promotions to optimize results
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to determine optimal pricing and promotional strategies
Assist Commercial team in identifying opportunities from market disruptions and regulatory enforcements to guide RGM initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure viability of one-off promotion programs
Assist in building the frontline pricing strategy and its translation into state level MSRPs which includes price increase methodology, timing, structure and budget
Personal and Professional Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in finance, consulting, trade marketing, category management or other relevant work experience preferably in the nicotine industry
Good understanding of the nicotine industry and the US market
Strong Excel modeling skills, analytical experience in building promotion performance models preferred
Analytical curiosity, willingness to dive into the data to understand the drivers of our performance at the state and account level
Experience with promotion cycles and execution timelines within convenience store space
Prior experience in leading cross functional ad-hoc project teams
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
Preferred MBA or relevant advanced degrees
