Our exciting tech leader client is looking to bring on a technical artist or creative technologist who can drive the ideation, creative direction and implementation of compelling camera effects in our proprietary platform software. This requires a unique skillset of both technical acumen and creative sensibility. This is a UX/Visual Designer need.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:Ideate, design, and develop AR/GLSL shaders/effects and 3D assets from start to finish with guidance from Art DirectorsWork with UX to refine with a goal towards shipping, and collaborate with eng for technical requirements and portingWork with our creative effect authoring tool to provide feedback on what is / is not working.Skill/Experience/Education -
4+ years of relevant work experience as a technical artist3+ years experience authoring GLSL shaders3+ years experience with 3D modeling (gltf pipelines / generating technical assets)3+ years experience in one or more of the following software programs: Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya2+ years experience with javascript2+ years experience with webGL2+ year experience basic modeling, rigging, animation, and texture and lighting skills (with strong expertise in at least one area)Strong attention to detail and excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skillsPortfolio with relevant examples of technical and artistic skillsDesired:
Bachelor's degree is preferred but not requiredPublished AR/camera effects or filters on a public platformExperience with typescriptExperience with three.js or other web based 3D frameworksA degree in a relevant field: animation, video games, computer scienceUp to date with contemporary social media trends/culture
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $73.10 to $81.22 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
