The ideal candidate will drive the product design lifecycle of major features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct user research, contribute to the design system, and uphold high design and product quality standards.RESPONSIBILITIES:Own and drive the complete product design lifecycle of major featuresPartner with various teams to understand business objectives and uncover customer insightsConduct user research to identify problems and validate solutionsProduce necessary artifacts to take UI ideas from conception to productionParticipate in design reviews and share work regularly with teams and leadershipContribute to Retool’s design system and component libraryHelp establish design team processes and maintain high standards for design and product qualityWHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:Accelerate the adoption of Retool and inspire new customersDesign the core desktop building experienceDefine design systems for Retool and customers’ appsConnect and improve the developer toolchainHelp large customers scale with Retool as a unified platformEmpower customers to visualize and create databases within RetoolExtend Retool to support mobile-first workforcesEnable customers to build human-in-the-loop workflowsSKILLS REQUIRED:Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and experience driving product design lifecycleAbility to tackle technically complex problems and find a balance between ease of use and powerSystematic thinking and attention to detailCustomer-centric approachExperience in designing developer-centric products or enterprise toolsExcellent communication skillsAbility to thrive in ambiguity and drive product ideas forwardPassion for rethinking how software is built
