You will work for Momiji Management Group, which is a management company that provides marketing, IT, accounting, maintenance, HR, and general management services to our restaurants located throughout Oregon. We also have a distribution company called Ideal Sushi Supply, that services our restaurants as well as several other restaurants in the area. We are a rapidly growing company with a need for a proven Marketing Manager to join our team. The position will be based out of our headquarters located in Salem OR.

We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager with a strong background in the restaurant industry to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies. This role will be responsible for driving brand awareness, increasing customer engagement, and enhancing our restaurant's overall market presence.Experience: 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.Skills: Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, social media management, and content creation. The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of marketing professionals within the marketing department. Their duties include relaying information between upper management and department employees regarding budgets and daily procedures, overseeing the implementation of marketing strategies campaigns to promote business products and services, and hiring and training department employees. Their job is to oversee the department's marketing budget and refine campaign strategies for better results and ROI. They may also be responsible for planning and executing brand events or product launches as a part of marketing campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee Management:

Maintains appropriate staffing levels for the Marketing department: recruiting, interviews, hiring, scheduling, and training.Approve employee timecards, make corrections and processes time off requestsPerform mentorships, professional coaching, performance evaluations, MBO, personnel development, set goals, and documents the progress of each employee.Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the marketing department.Institutes progressive disciple and/or corrective action plans as needed.Developing Marketing Strategies:

Create and implement strategic marketing plans to increase brand awareness, drive foot traffic and boost sales.Maintain and enhance brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing communications and customer touchpoints.Develop brand positioning strategies that differentiate the restaurant from its competitors.Manage brand guidelines and ensure compliance across marketing materials and promotions.Work closely with operations teams to ensure marketing efforts align with restaurant operations, service standards, and customer experience.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including culinary, operations, and finance to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.Conduct market research to understand customer preferences, industry trends, and competitors. Using data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and decisions.Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, customer acquisition, and ROI on marketing campaigns. Preparing regular reports for management to evaluate marketing effectiveness.Planning and executing promotional campaigns, seasonal specials, and themed events to attract customers and drive sales during peak times.Menu Development and Pricing:

Collaborating with culinary teams to develop appealing menus that align with brand positioning and market trends. Strategizing pricing to maximize profitability.Monitor menu performance and customer preferences to optimize offerings.Collaborate with culinary teams to create innovative promotions highlighting menu offerings and attracting new customers.Collaborate with the distribution company to take advantage of items in abundance or on sale to maximize synergy and profitability.Local Store Marketing (LSM)

Planning and executing local marketing initiatives to attract nearby residents and businesses. This includes promotions, events, and partnershipsPlan and execute local marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers in the restaurant's vicinity.Forge partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and influencers to increase brand visibility.Organize community events, sponsorships, and promotions to build relationships with the local community.Providing training and support to restaurant staff on marketing initiatives, promotions, and customer engagement strategies.Digital Marketing:

Managing digital marketing efforts, including social media marketing, email campaigns, online advertising pay-per-click (PPC), and maintaining the restaurant's website.Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.Develop and execute digital advertising strategies (PPC, display ads) to drive online and offline traffic.Manage the restaurant's online presence and reputation across review sites and social media platforms.Customer Loyalty Programs:

Develop and manage customer loyalty programs to retain customers and encourage repeat visits. This may include creating rewards programs, discounts, and special offers.Public Relations and Community Engagement

Implement customer relations management (CRM) systems to collect and analyze customer data for personalized marketing campaigns.Cultivate relationships with media outlets, bloggers, and food critics to generate positive publicity.Write press releases, organize media interviews, and manage crisis communications as needed.Leverage PR opportunities to enhance brand reputation and visibility in the industry.Organize participation in community events, sponsorships, and partnerships to enhance brand visibility and support local initiatives.Customer Feedback and Reviews:

Monitoring customer feedback and online reviews (e.g., Yelp, Google Reviews) to address concerns promptly and leverage positive feedback for marketing purposes.Respond to customer feedback and reviews to maintain positive brand perception and address issues promptly with the Operations team.Budget Management:

Managing the marketing budget effectively, allocating funds across different marketing channels and initiatives to achieve maximum ROI.Prepare regular reports and presentations for management to evaluate marketing effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.Vendor and Agency Management:

Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with marketing vendors, agencies, printers, and suppliers.Manage relationships with vendors to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.Evaluate vendor performance and seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.Other Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills

Must have a bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related fieldMust have at least 3+ years of marketing experience, and at least 1 year of management experience.Must have experience in leading, motivating and cultivating a team.Must have a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns and project management.Must understand how to set a budget and effectively work within it, while maximizing effectiveness and ROI.Must be able to operate multiple specialty computer systems and programs at a high level.Must be creative, innovative, and forward thinking.Must have the ability to think strategically and adapt or evolve strategies based on trends and feedback.Has a working knowledge of the company and how all the locations and department's functionMust have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and/or timelines at once.Strong attention to detail with dedication to accuracy.Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to use them effectively online.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive to locations as needed.Physical Requirements and Job Conditions
