Job Description
This position will be a part of the Visual Design Team specializing in Accessory Merchandise. The Visual Design - Accessories will pull and transport Accessory Merchandise from the warehouse to the appropriate staging area to open, hard mark, and tag all said merchandise daily to allow merchandise to be loaded onto the show floor in due time. This position will assist in all accessory markdowns and all things applicable to said Accessory Merchandise. All said Accessory Merchandise includes but is not limited to tabletop accessories, art, mirrors, lighting, greenery, trees, baskets, seasonal items, etc.

The Visual Design - Accessories will safely operate a Stock Picker, Down Forklift, and any other equipment necessary to transport merchandise for customers and the Visual Design Department. We provide full training and certifications for all equipment.
Pay: $19-21Hr (DOE)(Associates Degree)
Job Requirements:
• Visual Design or Accessory Merchandising experience preferred• Be meticulously Detail Oriented• Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency, and exceed customer service expectations• Create effective processes to hard mark and tag merchandise without damage to merchandise, other merchandise, or harm to customers• Work with Visual Designers, Staging, Sales Management, and Buying Team members to develop strategies and best practices• Work as a Team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperatively and in a constructive manner• Actively participate in annual show floor inventory scans• Ability to effectively work independently under direct supervision• Maintain a clean and safe work environment• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies including but not limited to Storis, iPads, Excel, Word, etc.• MUST BE 18 years or older• Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers is helpful but not required• Commitment to Safety• Knowledge and Capability to perform correct Lifting/Team Lifting techniques• Work with Heights. Transfers of Accessory Merchandise could be 0 - 35 ft above the ground• Use expert handling of all Accessory Merchandising including glass, metal, canvas, ceramic, or other fragile materials• Respect ALL AFW Merchandise
Technical Skills:
• Operate material handling equipment to move merchandise within the warehouse• Operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner• Correctly use hand truck• Use Computer for systems including Storis, Excel, Word, etc• Use Computer for Tagging system; print merchandise tags, etc• Ability to learn processes for merchandising; junk shorts, markdowns,
Physical Requirements:
• Capacity to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas• Capability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily• Continuous use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, & back• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100lbs and the skill tohandle/manipulate merchandise up to 150 lbs frequently• Lifting, gripping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours daily
Physical Work Environment:
• Fluorescent Lighting• Concrete Flooring• The climate is affected by external conditions• Considerable exterior noise• Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse
