We are seeking an experienced and innovative professional to join our team as a Financial Crime Product Architect, focusing on Target State Design. In this role, you will lead the design and development of comprehensive financial crime solutions, ensuring alignment with our strategic vision and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the future of our financial crime prevention capabilities.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.

The Opportunity

What you'll do:

Develop and design target state architectures

for financial crime prevention solutions, incorporating industry best practices and innovative technologies.

Collaborate with stakeholders

to translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Lead the assessment and integration

of new technologies and methodologies into existing systems to enhance the effectiveness of financial crime controls.

Conduct risk assessments and threat analyses

to inform design decisions and prioritize initiatives.

Work closely with cross-functional teams , including IT, compliance, risk management, and operations, to implement and refine financial crime solutions.

Monitor and evaluate the performance

of financial crime prevention systems, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.

What you have:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

Extensive experience in financial crime prevention , with a background in operations, analytics, or claims management.

In-depth knowledge of financial crime solutions , including anti-money laundering (AML), fraud detection, and sanction screening.

Strong understanding of architecture principles

and methodologies, with the ability to design scalable and resilient systems.

Proven ability to translate target state visions

into actionable business and technical requirements.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills , with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and senior leadership.

Your extensive experience in financial crime operations, analytics, and claims management sets you apart as an expert in the field, providing a solid foundation for designing effective solutions.

Deep Understanding of Financial Crime Solutions:

Your comprehensive knowledge of financial crime prevention technologies and methodologies ensures that you can identify and implement the best solutions to address evolving threats.

Expertise in Architecture Principles:

Your mastery of architectural principles allows you to design robust, scalable systems that align with the organization’s strategic goals and regulatory requirements.

Ability to Convert Target State Vision into Tangible Business Requirements:

Your skill in translating high-level visions into clear, actionable business and technical requirements is critical in driving projects from concept to completion, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.

Certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or CISSP

are a plus.

US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

What we offer:Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $138,230-$264,200

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
