This role is integral to our People Team and the company, responsible for overseeing the development and execution of our internal communication strategy and high profile communication programs and initiatives. This role requires a strategic and creative thinker and doer who can collaborate with various departments, aligning People Team communications with the company's overall messaging and branding. This role involves heavy stakeholder management, cross team collaboration, content curation, creating communication materials, managing internal communication channels, and measuring the effectiveness of our internal communications strategies.What You’ll Do

Develop and implement a company-wide internal communication strategy that promotes transparency, enhances employee engagement, and supports Affirm’s goals, values, and culture.Re-invent and own the company’s All Teams and AMA strategy, content curation, and successful execution and measurement of these forums.Partner closely with the Corporate Communications and Branding team to ensure any critical company wide communications and announcements are aligned with Affirm’s voice and branding.Develop and implement communication strategies and a communications calendar that support all People team programs and initiatives, ensuring timely and effective dissemination of information.Evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications, using metrics and feedback to continuously improve and adapt the communication strategy and tactics.Draft and drive internal communications materials on behalf of executives. Provide guidance to People professionals & company leaders on internal communication best practices, helping them to improve their communication skills and effectiveness.Develop and instill change management best practices and process to ensure appropriate parties are engaged and informed. Focused on fostering a proactive approach to incorporating change management considerations in the launch of new programs and initiatives.Serve as a communications partner to leaders, providing advice and mentorship that reflects an understanding of their business and leadership style as well as a data-driven approach to how we communicate with Affirmers (e.g., reorgs, new programming, etc.).Define what an issues management strategy looks like for personnel related issues and a system for managing those including how to engage and leverage the communications team, legal team and business units.What We Look For

10+ years of progressive experience in Communications or related fields, with a specific emphasis on enhancing employee experience and internal communications.Exceptional skills in writing and visual storytelling, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives and create engaging visual content that resonates with employees.Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing internal communication strategies and programs.Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and relevant people programs as well as how to communicate them effectively to employees.Demonstrated experience in change management, with a proven ability to guide high-priority initiatives and ensure effective communication during transitions.Ability to collaborate with and influence People professionals & company leaders, actively listening to understand their communication needs and providing strategic guidance.Experience in using metrics and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of communications and make improvements.Base Pay Grade

Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)CAN base pay range per year: $142,000 - $192,000#LI-RemoteAffirm is proud to be a remote-first company!
