This newly created role joins the Consumer Payments Marketing team and leads a critical function responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies in support of world-class incident management, transactional communications, change management and annual planning.

If you are located in Eden Prairie, MN, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee the development and delivery of communication materials and campaigns for internal and external audiences.

Ensure that all communication materials and campaigns are accurate, timely, consistent, compliant and aligned with the organization's tone and voice.

Establish and maintain effective communication channels and feedback mechanisms with internal and external stakeholders.

Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of communication initiatives and provide regular reports and recommendations for improvement.

Required Qualifications:Before applying, please ensure each of these experiences are stated clearly on your resume under each applicable employer entry.

10+ years of progressive experience in a strategic communications role, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or management role.

Experience in developing and implementing effective communication strategies for internal and external audiences, with a focus on incident communication, technical/transactional communication, and/or change management.

Experienced in building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver clear, concise and compelling messages for various audiences and channels.

Proven effective leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing communication team.

Proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Consumer brand experience.

Advanced knowledge and understanding of communication principles, practices, tools and techniques, including digital and social media, media relations, crisis communication, etc.

Understanding of and experience using benefit plans including financial products like HSAs, FSAs, etc.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Communications Manager, and other communication software and platforms.

Total Compensation:

As part of your total compensation package, which includes base, bonus opportunity, PTO and holiday pay, you will also receive these benefits at these rates, not to mention a remote work opportunity and healthy work/life balance.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
