Summary

This position will lead and oversee the organization's global Social Media (SM) efforts. This role will develop and lead the global corporate social media strategy, create and rollout policies and procedures, and develop training programs for corporate communications colleagues and employees worldwide. This role will also directly lead the SM team accountable for US-specific SM activities, including strategy, content, engagement and measurement, which will work collaboratively with SM colleagues in other regions. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SM communications strategies across various platforms, developing global templates and guidance for regional adoption and deployment with respect to adherence of each region's specific regulatory restrictions.

Responsibilities

- Global SM Strategy and Management

- Develop and execute comprehensive global SM strategies and channels that can be leveraged by regions to enhance brand visibility, engage with target audiences, and drive business growth.- Develop overarching SM global channel hierarchy/relationship of existing channels with specific focus on LinkedIn ecosystem migration of independent regional channels.- Support the launch of refreshed SM assets as part of the corporate branding workstream upon launch of new global corporate narrative.- Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to ensure the successful execution of global corporate SM initiatives.

- Global and US Policy Procedure Development

- Form a comprehensive understanding of the organization's global operations and relevant guidelines to ensure compliance in all SM efforts with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including product promotion codes, data privacy and security standards in each major DS region.- Create and implement policies and procedures for global SM, including crisis management protocols, monitoring and moderation adherence, compliance materials, and a global digital brand strategy/style.- Identity systems and SM asset creation tools/resources for global template development and regional collaboration and execution- Continuously evaluate and optimize SM processes and workflows to drive efficiency and effectiveness.- Contribute input and insights to internal teams accountable for corporate websites to ensure smooth connection between all digital corporate assets.- DSI/U.S. Social Media Team. Lead the existing U.S. social media team, which is responsible for US-specific SM activities, including strategy, content, engagement and measurement. This team is accountable to:- help build affinity with, and trust of, Daiichi Sankyo through transparent and engaging corporate and product communications.- enhance and defend the reputation and assets of Daiichi Sankyo in the US by leveraging social media (SM), DaiichiSankyo.us and other digital platforms to communicate with and engage key stakeholders.- create and implement a comprehensive paid and organic strategy to effectively leverage social media (SM) in achieving specific business outcomes.- enable compliant SM adoption across company by developing internal resources, policies and procedures, and educating and coaching business partners on achieving their target outcomes through SM.- lead the development and execution of strategic product public relations (PR) programs that support objectives for assigned therapeutic areas/brands (as needed).

- Training Development/Delivery Metrics

- Develop and deliver global SM training programs for corporate communications colleagues across regions (US, EU, Japan, and ASCA) and all employees worldwide to ensure a consistent SM ecosystem (look and feel) for all Daiichi Sankyo-owned channels.- Monitor and analyze SM performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to key stakeholders.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

Must have a Bachelor's Degree communications, marketing, or a related field

Experience Qualifications10+ years communications expertise is required5+ years in specifically leading digital/SM communications activities requiredStrong show a demonstrated understanding of social media marketing, and content management systemsMust have proven expertise in developing and implementing social media strategies across various platforms, including Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube required

TravelMust have the ability to travel up to 20%. Business and/or conferences as required both international and domestic
