PSE'sEngineering Operationsteam is looking for qualified candidates to fill anopen Supervisor Geographical Info System (GIS) position!

Job DescriptionThe Supervisor Geographic Information System (GIS) provides leadership, coordination, oversight, and direction to Electric GIS Technicians for GIS based mapping, data management, and solution delivery. Provides governance for utility asset and administrative data, such as transmission and distribution (T&D) within the network model, while acting as the business owner for key processes and integrations with the enterprise databases such as SAP. Drives for data integrity in GIS as critical system of record, in support of downstream systems (OMS, ADMS, Synergi, etc). Maintains department budget, Develops processes, and procedures. Supports the GIS Manager with the GIS strategy, directs staff to execute goals in accordance with the strategy, and evaluates performance against those goals.

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance.

This job is considered "safety sensitive" as defined in RCW 49.44.240 and is subject to pre-employment drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites.

Job Responsibilities

Employee Safety, Development & Team Building

- Provides employees with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams:

Demonstrates a passion for safety. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety including eliminating at-risk behaviors by conducting safety audits and inspections, eliminating hazards and near misses, and attending safety meetings.

Sets clear expectations and holds employees accountable for performance as well as safety goals/targets where applicable.

Oversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions. Ensures required training is successfully completed.

Challenges and inspires employees to achieve business results.

Accountable to ensure employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements, as well as safety standards.

Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.

Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve employee, business, customer and safety results.

Reviews, updates and maintains the electric Network Model (NM) in the Geographic Information System (GIS).

Ensures NM connectivity, data integrity and accuracy within GIS, electric data integrity between SAP and GIS.

Coordinates with other operations departments to maintain data flow from GIS to other systems: SAP, OMS, ADMS, Synergi, ESRI, Tensing, etc.

Works with PSE and Service Provider organizations to ensure timely and accurate submittal of records resulting from field activities.

Coordinates with other GIS owners and users to review and approve configuration changes in GIS. * Works in tandem with IT and other stakeholders in providing innovative solutions to business issues by leveraging existing systems and participates in analyzing/developing/implementing new tools and applications.

Works with IT to resolve GIS issues and to enhance GIS functionality.

Monitors, analyzes and manages workloads to ensure optimal use of staff. * Works closely with other management staff in support of department goals.

Supports emergency response work including immediate and extended restoration efforts driven by weather and other system failures.

Ensure compliance with codes, standards as well as with design, operations and maintenance requirements.

Promotes safe work practices to achieve safety goals.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience may substitute.

5 years experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and geospatial information, or related mapping technology.

Knowledge of network modeling.

Prior leadership and/or project management experience.

Experience with document management systems and knowledge of databases and integration with systems.

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Demonstrated experience working effectively and collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications

5 years experience in utility system operations and working experience in one or more of the following:

Network modeling.

SAP plant maintenance or other related SAP modules

Mapping electric and/or gas distribution and transmission systems.

Experience with ESRI projects

Familiarity with power line construction.

Comprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, customer service and operations standards, practices and procedures.

Knowledge of applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement and application of rules.

Prior experience in a supervisory role.

The pay range for this position is$80,800.00-$195,400.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
