Communications Specialist

Key Role:Serve as the primary author to develop targeted communications materials in support of health and transformation initiatives, including web content, articles, multimedia, press releases, fact sheets, posters, and more. Prepare publication materials, employee communications, newsletters, bulletins, and informational materials for internal or external audiences. Conduct audience research and stakeholder analyses to make recommendations about outreach opportunities and stakeholder engagement activities. Plan and execute evaluation efforts, including digital analytics, to gather insights about communication effectiveness and refine future strategies. Create or contribute to talking points, executive communications, and Microsoft PowerPoint briefings.

Basic Qualifications:3+ years of professional experience in communications

Experience with writing and editing, including tailoring content to different audiences' needs and level of understanding

Experience with health or science communications, change communications, or digital media

Experience with building and maintaining client relationships

Experience with producing client-ready products and ensuring the team delivers exceptional service and products

Knowledge of various style guides, including AP Stylebook, and rules of grammar and punctuation

Ability to develop cohesive and visually compelling presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and convey complex messages concisely in a clear and compelling manner

Ability to identify improvements in the client's processes or offerings and recommend solutions

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:Experience with government consulting

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including developing PowerPoint presentations

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
