Church Pension Group (CPG) is a financial services organization located in Midtown Manhattan. CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benefits to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church. Since then, its mission has expanded to include life and disability insurance, health benefits, property & casualty insurance, and publishing.

Content & Creative Services (CCS) is responsible for creating compelling communications that support our strategic plan and our three lines of business. Using traditional and digital media, CCS will give voice to our work by broadcasting key messages, developing curricula, sharing information, and helping business partners drive engagement with the products, programs, services, and careers that the Church Pension Group (CPG) offers.

In this role, the

Graphic Designer

reports to the Design and Digital Experience Director and plays a crucial role in both communications and digital design, contributing high-impact visual content for both digital and traditional media. This position involves working closely with the Design and Digital Experience Director to create compelling designs that adhere to brand guidelines and support strategic business goals. The Graphic Designer must be adept with a variety of design tools and capable of creating structured documents for a wide range of purposes and communication channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration.Assist in designing digital content for websites, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, and other online platforms.Develop structured, template-based documents and presentations using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, incorporating complex styles and formatting.Support the design of traditional media, including documents, brochures, f lyers, and advertisements.Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure design solutions meet content specifications and project objectives.Manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a team setting and maintain communication with team members on project status.Adapt designs based on feedback f rom team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall brand and marketing strategies.QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.Well-versed in both digital and print design standards and practices.Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.Ability to work under tight deadlines and think critically about the work assigned.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of problem-solving and adapting to feedback.Experience in web design with a basic knowledge of HTML/CSSFigma or similar UX/UI prototyping tool experience a plusKnowledge of content management systems and digital marketing toolsAdditional skills in video editing and animationEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

3+ years design experience, preferably within a corporate creative team.AA/AS or BA/BS in Graphic Design preferred in communication design or related discipline.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Commuting to the office, on average, three days a week. Extensive use of a computer keyboard is a demand of the position to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Hybrid (two days working from home, three days working in a standard office environment).
