POSITION SUMMARY
A Bilingual Field Marketing Representative with The Restaurant Store is responsible for communicating the advantages of shopping with TRS in an efficient and concise manner across the local market area. We are looking for candidates with strong fluency in both the English and Spanish languages. The Field Marketing Representative will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective field marketing and advertising strategies that align with the goals of our sales and marketing teams. The employee for this position will work in and around the Davie and Ft. Lauderdale areas. This is a salaried role with a performance based quarterly bonus structure. The schedule for this position in Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30pm. (Hours may vary due to scheduling demands and special events). The Restaurant Store is expanding from the Mid-Atlantic to the Florida area and this role is integral to our success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel to and call on businesses in the local market area to increase sales with existing customers and develop new relationships with prospective customersDevelop and maintain knowledge of products offered in-store and the gross profit associated with private label productsCommunicate with Sales team to ensure follow-through on leads generated Field Marketing teamCommunicate pertinent information to TRS Marketing Department through established reporting methodsPlan, organize, and execute specific sales and marketing programs under the direction of the Sales ManagerResearch and communicate competitor information to sales and inventory teams within the local branch by providing relevant competitor invoices and identify current vendors of prospective customersAbility to navigate TRS.com quickly and effectively to assist customers with establishing online accounts and quick pick lists
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in retail and/or field marketing / sales / hospitalityHigh school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Must possess reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understandingDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligenceService leadership approach with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
