Job Title: Senior Marketing SpecialistLocation: HybridType: Full-time
Position DescriptionWeris is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team on a contract supporting the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). In this role, you will work with a marketing team across FHWA training units to provide technical support for various webinars and virtual events, manage social media campaigns for targeted initiatives, ensure the accuracy and relevance of content on SharePoint sites, and perform website content reviews and updates.This is a hybrid role with work performed remote and onsite at the customer site located in Vienna, VA (2 days per week)Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Lead and develop marketing campaigns and collateral.Able to conduct listening sessions with internal customers to determine their needs and goals.Able to create integrated/omni-channel marketing campaigns and collateral to meet office and program needs.Experienced in providing options and recommendations to clients that can build upon or exceed initial client requests.Lead the execution of highly complex marketing campaigns, including: Draft clear requirements for creative staff (video, photography, graphics) and web team to ensure high quality work and reduce risk of rework.Create and manage project schedules.Write and edit content for a variety of communications media including social media, brochures/booklets, presentations, flyers, SharePoint sites and public websites.Experience managing and supporting in-person and virtual events, including: Optimizing audience engagement and lead capture.Setting direction for booth setup, collateral, and staffing.Managing event logistics.Responsible for SharePoint content updates and maintenance across all training units.Fulfill some creative work, such as collateral updates in InDesign and/or Illustrator, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Provide planning and onsite support for conferences and tradeshows.Strong understanding of Office 365 programs or similar collaborative cloud computing environment, Zoom platform, and online audient engagement and polling tools.Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline.10 years experience in a marketing/communications/project management role.Strong organization and prioritization skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Proven success in a collaborative environment.Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Programs, Zoom platform, and online technical participant engagement tools and polling.Writing samples will ideally include recent work from items that are public facing to include articles, tradeshow newsletters, etc.Ideal candidates will have prior experience in government contracting.Preferred experience with Section 508 compliance for all marketing outreach products, enhancing accessibility of information (Americans with Disabilities Act).Blackboard/Learning Management System experience is a plus.Benefits OverviewWeris, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package including Employer contributed medical insurance with plan options (available day 1 of employment), Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, Professional Development Reimbursement, Paid Holidays, PTO, Employer matched 401(k) and rewards and recognition programs.EEO StatementWeris, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, pregnancy, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
