We have a well-established global M&BD team, which supports the firm on a wide range of business development, marketing, and client relationship management activities. The team is divided into a number of key areas: including practice M&BD, clients and markets covering industry M&BD, pitches and pursuits, which manage strategic global and regional pitches; corporate communications, which comprises public relations, brand, design, events, and digital; and campaigns and projects. There are also regional M&BD teams with whom this role will interact.

We seek a capable and enthusiastic M&BD specialist to advance the business development and marketing activities of our

Life Sciences and Health Care

sector , Medical Device and Technology

and

Health

regulatory practices. The role will encompass a range of initiatives, including: working with sector and practice speciality areas, including

digital health ,

AI , and

medtech , drafting pitches and credentials, and profile raising and marketing campaigns, including programs and events, as well as coordinating communications such as nominations, client alerts, directory submissions, and digital content. This is a global role that will work closely with practice teams primarily in the U.S., as well as sector lawyers and M&BD colleagues throughout the globe.

Our world-renowned Life Sciences and Health Care Sector Team comprises more than 500 lawyers around the world who advise more than 1,000 clients spanning pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, medical devices and technology, digital health, as well as health care providers, payors, and services. Our industry team works together seamlessly across geographies and practice areas to advise clients on business-critical issues across the life cycle of the business and its products, including in cutting-edge fields such as cell and gene therapies and digital health.

Our Medical Device & Technology, and Health regulatory practices are leaders in their field, ranked by Chambers & Partners as Band 1 for Healthcare and Healthcare: Pharmaceutical/Medical Products Regulatory in the District of Columbia.

JOB DESCRIPTION

PROFILE RAISING AND MARKETING CAMPAIGNS

Create and implement integrated marketing campaigns for the sector and practices to help raise our profile and awareness among our key target audiences, and generate opportunities to meet potential clients.Assist in content development and distribution via internal and external channels, including social media.Coordinate and support client seminars, webinars, association activities, and other marketing-oriented events and programs, including the development of program materials, day-of support and follow up, including metrics-driven program reporting.Build and manage relationships with membership associations and programs with which the firm is a member of and/or partner.Draft, coordinate, and leverage directory submissions for ranking organizations/publications.Create and maintain targeted mailing lists for client communications, events, seminars.Promote sector and practice capabilities and activities across the firm, through regular internal newsletters, active participation at team meetings, and maintenance of intranet sites.Support the M&BD team and central PR team on effective profile raising plans and campaigns for both the practice and individual partners.Help to initiate and implement strategic marketing and business development campaigns and projects for the sector and practice areas, including digital health, medtech, AI, etc.BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Cultivate a deep understanding of the areas of expertise and client needs across the sector and practices.Meet regularly with the lawyers in order to support their business objectives and work with them to ensure successful pursuit of the plans.Draft and coordinate responses to RFPs, customized pitches, and business development presentations; prepare and contribute content to firmwide pitches.Maintain, update, and develop collateral including credentials, work experience, practice overviews, and website content.Leverage the firm's technologies to maintain work experience, and track client and prospect engagement.WIDER MARKETING AND BUSIENSS DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Contribute to wider marketing and business development projects as required.All members of the firm are encouraged to participate in our Global Responsible Business program.And other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS

Five (5)+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a legal or professional services sector.Bachelor's degree required. BS or BA degree in marketing, communications or related field is preferred.Strong preference will be given to candidates with:

Knowledge of and exposure to the life sciences and health care industryA general understanding of the commercial world and its driversAn understanding of marketing and business development processesExperience working with international organizations or other multinational law firms or corporationsAbility to independently execute campaigns and other assigned projectsAbility to create a positive impact with colleagues, peers, partners, and clients and to demonstrate diplomacy, listening, and influencing skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to write in a compelling wayEffective organizational and project management skills, including the ability to plan ahead and prioritize conflicting demands to meet deadlinesInitiative and a "can do attitude"Ability to work effectively under pressureProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

HOURS

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including lunch hour, with flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed.

The annualized salary range for this position is $73,000 to $106,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. In addition, full time employees as well as some part time employees, will be eligible for the firm's fringe benefits as they currently exists.
