Job Description

This position provides general editorial support for the Abrams Calendar program. It is an excellent opportunity for anyone with an interest in visual storytelling and more exposure to illustrated publishing. Beyond editorial, the Intern will interact with sales, marketing, publicity, design, and production departments offering a broad introduction to the world of illustrated publishing.

Responsibilities include:Researching image selections for calendarsDrafting marketing copy and TIP sheetsPreparing calendar manuscripts for designManaging digital assetsResearching comparative titles in the marketplaceReading and evaluating layouts and proofsOverseeing special projects as assignedProviding general administrative supportRequired skills:

Strong copyediting and proofreading skillsExcellent research skillsProficient in Word and ExcelKnowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud a plusAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously: to meet deadlines, work independently and collaboratively, and to follow through consistently

Demonstrated interest in developing editorial experience and learning about the publishing process
