Job Summary:

Kickstand, a global, full-service PR firm, is looking for an Account Coordinator to join its team in Austin. This position is great for recent college grads. Previous experience (full time or internship) is a strong plus, but not required.

This is a full-time position based in Austin, TX and candidates that apply should be based in the Austin area as well.

Account Coordinator responsibilities include:

Client Relations & Account Support:Support multiple agency accounts, both consumer and B2BDraft and send agendas and action items for weekly client calls, working with account team to ensure accuracy of updates and detailsEnsure speed and accuracy across all client correspondenceCreation of media lists and ownership of ensuring all media lists are kept fully up to dateAssist in the creation of client reports, including coverage reports detailing coverage and team activitiesAttend and actively participate in client meetingsRegular drafting of short and long-form content, including press releasesMedia relations support, including:Monitoring the media for breaking news; developing an understanding of the media landscape and applying that knowledgeDeveloping relationships with key media contactsResponding to client and inbound media requestsSupport in identification of proactive coverage opportunities (ad hoc and ongoing)Assisting in the preparation of briefing materials for secured client interviewsTeam Support:

Work with account leads on administrative tasks for the teamAttend agency and industry eventsParticipate in team brainstorms, as well as in training and planning sessionsHelp develop and grow a strong agency cultureRequirements

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Basic knowledge of print, broadcast and digital mediaInterest in technology and ability to keep abreast of industry news and current affairsAbility to deliver under tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills (written and spoken)Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and stay organizedStrong attention to detailProfessional and approachable mannerPositive, constructive attitudePolished and professionalQualifications and Experience:

Undergraduate degreeUp to one year of PR experience (accepted but not required) -- internship experience is applicable!Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint necessary, with the ability to quickly learn new tools.Benefits

Starting salary is $40,000 per year
