The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state. Work involves coordinating therapeutic rehabilitation activities for clients within a program area and developing protocols in habilitation or rehabilitation therapy services. May assign and/or supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.The therapist performs and interprets assessments and renders therapeutic treatment to consumers. The Audiologist may perform evaluation and fabrication of ear molds, assessment of hearing aids, and collaboration with otolaryngologist.The therapist participates in quality assurance and quality enhancement activities as required.The therapist works under minimal supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The therapist administers and interprets assessments, develops and provides treatment for persons served.The therapist trains staff and monitors programs for compliance and efficacy. The therapist participates in IDT/ISP meetings to facilitate diagnosis and treatment planning. The therapist maintains open and regular communication with the other departments, IDTs and administration to ensure the transfer of needed information and continuity of services.The therapist will be responsible for documentation in IRIS The therapist participates in quality assurance and quality enhancement activities related to therapeutic services.
