Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field6 years in social media management, with a focus on executive branding and corporate communications2 years in a leadership role and experience managing a team of social media professionalsExperience in social strategy, planning, copywriting, posting, analytics and strategy adjustmentStrong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools and content management systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiencesStrategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable social media strategiesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detailAbility to implement strategies to use social media for executive positioning - enhancing visibility, credibility and influence of organizational leaders within target markets and industriesExperience in crisis management and reputation managementProven skills in social media copywriting and/or visual design, ensuring compelling and impactful messagingKnowledge of search engine optimization (SEO), keyword research and Google AnalyticsProven ability to grow followers on social media, expanding both brand and personal audiencesExperience working with Senior Executives on sustained programs and campaigns with demonstrable positive outcomesJob Summary

As the Director, Executive Social Media, you'll be responsible for crafting and executing social media strategies tailored to enhance the online presence and reputation of executives and brand. You'll work closely with top-level leadership to align social media efforts with organizational goals and objectives, while managing the social media response team. You'll oversee the development of compelling content, managing social media platforms and monitoring online engagement to ensure alignment with the executives' personal branding and company values.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with leaders and key stakeholders to formulate social media strategies aligned with organizational objectives and the personal branding goals of each executiveLead a team of social media professionals to translate strategic objectives into engaging and relevant social media content for executives' profiles, including posts, articles, videos and other multimedia contentDevelop robust social media crisis management systems, including escalation procedures, response development and processes for ongoing monitoring and reporting to senior leadershipCollaborate with senior leadership to ensure social media accounts across various platforms are compelling and consistent with messaging and brand representationMonitor senior leadership's social media channelsCollaborate with communications team to determine the right events and speaking engagements for senior leader participationWork with other design and marketing leaders as needed to develop, implement and execute social media campaigns to support a wide variety of marketing initiatives, including brand awareness, lead generation and sponsorshipsConduct regular audits and analyses of executives' online presence, track key metrics and provide insights to optimize performance and enhance brand reputationStay abreast of industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in social media marketing to continuously enhance strategies and tacticsChampion the value of social media within the organization, educating and engaging senior leadership to expand brand reachDevelop knowledge of the city of Detroit, including its history, its neighborhoods and the recent developments in order to deliver authentic social messages
