JOB TITLE:

Wyoming Athletics Marketing/Fan Experience Internship

JOB PURPOSE:

The Wyoming Athletics Marketing Intern is part of the Marketing and Fan Experience team. We are looking for proactive and responsible students to assist with the overall execution of marketing initiatives and promote the Wyoming Athletics brand on and off-campus.

Marketing interns will assist in creating memorable experiences for Wyoming fans and help with the overall objectives of the Marketing and Fan Experience team to promote all 17 sports at the University of Wyoming. Interns will be expected to have regular office hours and help with gamedays for Wyoming Athletics. The ideal intern is positive, eager to learn, proactive, team-oriented, and able to multi-task.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop fan affinity for the Wyoming Athletics brand through various initiatives including the Wyoming Kids Club, student engagement, and outreach to Cowboys/Cowgirls fans locally and around the stateAssist in the coordination of National Anthem performers, halftime acts, group experiences, and group attendance at Wyoming Athletics eventsAssist in the management of fan experience elements at Cowboy Football games through the Pepsi Pregame Zone, on-field promotions, etc.Oversee marketing efforts for select Wyoming Athletics programs and initiatives, under the supervision of full-time marketing staffOther duties as assignedREMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diplomaCurrent UW StudentBasic customer service experienceAbility to remain on your feet for extended periods of time in various weather conditionsEnthusiasm and positivity regarding the Wyoming Athletics brandDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work in a time-sensitive, team-oriented environmentMust have high energy, be enthusiastic, and display positivity regarding the Wyoming Athletics brandMust be reliable, punctual, courteous, and have good listening and multi-tasking skillsMust possess strong communication skills and be able to communicate with members of the publicMust be available to work home athletic events for the 2024-2025 athletics season and maintain regular weekly office hoursMust be able to arrive several hours before gametime for athletic eventsMust be available to work both fall and spring semesters, with some exception for December 2024 graduates
