As a PV Designer II, you will be responsible for learning and refining our process of designing code-compliant residential solar photovoltaic systems following engineering department policy. This is a fast paced, yet detail-oriented position.
Essential Duties:
Manage all as-built requests for approved in-field design changesExecute designs that adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirementsMaintain design compliance by referencing structural, electrical and fire codesPerform accurate system sizing calculationsCreate permit applications for submission in different jurisdictionsEfficiently conduct BOM preparationDesign solar projects using multiple programs and softwareTroubleshoot design and construction issues in the field and communicate updates accordinglyAssist with additional tasks as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or equivalent required2+ years of experience in AutoCAD or similar software is required2+ years of experience in the solar industry is requiredAbility to work in a regular office environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically ExcelCommunicate effectively, professionally, and kindlyObtains a strong sense of urgency and accountabilityStrong collaboration and interpersonal skillsWhat We Offer:
