Project Communication Specialist 1 - The position will operate as an embedded, dedicated resource to support project communications within our operations.The position reports operationally to the project team and functionally to Corporate Marketing and Communications. M.C. Dean operates in a highly collaborative structure that requires each of us to support other members of the team responsible for driving high-priority initiatives. The specialist will be called upon to lead initiatives on behalf of the project lead, as well as support projects led by other members of the team.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Communications:

Promote project successes with senior client management and across the M.C. Dean project team through regular communications, reports, and documentation of project progress and milestones. Translate abstract and technical concepts into visual communications for presentations and project deliverables. Craft and review communications products with project teams, including team reports, signage, and emergency notifications. Support the client account lead to advance our customer's reputation internally and externally. Coordinate the work of graphic designers on associated projects.

Technical Writing:

Support the engineering director, operations director, and project team members with drafting, editing, and submitting technical papers and white papers for client consumption.

Client Reporting:

Work with the client account leader and project teams to establish and track customer program - and project - level metrics. Gather quantitative and qualitative data to support client reporting requirements. Present findings and make recommendations for further action. Provide input for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Support specialized client reporting on an ongoing, as-need basis.

Client Account Support & Integration: Supplement direct client engagement efforts and support communications and meetings between M.C. Dean and client leadership as part of the M.C. Dean client account management team. Support corporate marketing and communications, collaborating on client engagement events and providing associated research, metrics, data, and content for white papers, marketing collateral, and presentations promoting client successes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications2 years of full time or internship experienceExperience supporting integrated campaigns as an external or in-house consultantExperience supporting marketing and employee events, site tours and demonstrationsKnowledge of AP Style guidelinesMastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a professional services, technology, or AEC firmFamiliarity with U.S. federal contractingAnalytical skills with research experienceExperience working with highly technical content tailored to both lay and/or specialized audiencesKnowledge of with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Familiarity with SharePoint and website content management systemsExperience with web analytics and media and social media distribution and tracking toolsExperience with data/statistical analysis toolsMaster's degreeATTRIBUTES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
