The Columbus River Dragons are searching for highly motivated and enthusiastic interns for the2024-2025 hockey season. Our ideal candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, ability tomultitask, take initiative to provide solutions, and prioritize the consumer experience. Our internsshould have a passion for sports and be looking to gain hands-on experience in all thingsrelated to Social Media Marketing.

We further strive to establish ourselves as an integral asset to theChattahoochee Valley, and to be a consistent source of pride for our entire community.The Columbus River Dragons are a member of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL),and were founded in Columbus Georgia in 2019. Since its origin, the team has appeared inplayoffs every year, making it to the finals twice, and were named the Champions of the IgniteCup in 2021.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:Interns will be expected to attend and work all home games beginning in November and runningthrough April. Social Media interns will also have the opportunity to assist the Social Media andCommunications Manager outside of home games. Our goal is to expose our team of interns tomultiple facets of sport to help provide direction to someone eager to begin a career in the field.Essential Job Functions:• Attends all home games and captures pre-game, in-game and activation social mediavideo and photography as directed by the Social Media Manager• Work closely with the Social Media Manager to facilitate the growth of digital and socialmedia initiatives• Gathering content from River Dragons games• Play a key role in managing, capturing and producing content for the River Dragonssocial media platforms• Support the Social Media Manager with idea generation and content planning• Capture, edit and share content on game days in support of the official Dragonschannels• Other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications:• Must be 17 or older• Graphic Design Experience suggested with knowledge of the Adobe Suite• Awareness of and interest in the latest social media and emerging trends• Strong attention to detail, grammar and proofreading skills• Photography and video skills preferred• Ability to work irregular hours including nights and weekend• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work on short notice• Ability to think outside the box to express their creativity
