Marketing & Events Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Kodiak Interiors Group is growing & seeking an experienced, creative & fun individual to join our Marketing team. This position is based out of our Texas company FBS Appliance. The Marketing & Events Manger will have feet-on-the-ground responsibilities for scheduling, planning and executing events for all Texas based locations, this person may on occasion also travel to Colorado or Arizona as required.

In addition, this person will assist the Marketing & Events Director with advertising and website responsibilities for the Kodiak Interiors Group companies including FBS Appliance, Arizona Appliance & Home, and Specialty Appliance. The Marketing & Events Manager will also assist the Marketing & Events Director with the Management of the KIG Marketing Team. This position is in the office and reports to our Houston location located at 8700 Fallbrook Dr. Houston, TX 77064.

An ideal candidate should have flexible hours including nights and weekends, be willing to travel in and out of state, have 5+ years of marketing & management experience, be well versed in social media, have web and advertising knowledge, and have ample experience planning, coordinating & managing events. This individual should be familiar with or have relevant experience using event registration software such as Constant Contact and should be comfortable working with a team.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIESFlexible hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary.Travel in and out of the state is required.Content development in Texas includes taking photos and recording videos for marketing use.Basic social media responsibilities for Texas based activities.Communicates Event Details to Manufacturers Reps.Assists Director with KIG team management as second in command.Event coordination includes communicating with venues, vendors, talent, rental companies' Chefs, catering companies and more based on the demand of specific events for KIG companies.Event set up and tear down including, but not limited to, shopping, decorating, moving tables, furniture, and catering equipment for Colorado based events in addition to KIG events as assigned.Events clean up including, but not limited to, washing dishes, cleaning, removing trash, bussing tables etc.Event staff accountabilities such as greeting /checking in guests, coat check, bar tending, and other general duties performed for Texas based events in addition to KIG events as assigned.Set up and tear down of the Mobile Showroom and Mobile Event Activations.Works with location Managers to schedule events.Works with location Managers to staff events.Works with location Managers to create event invite lists.Creates and distributes event registration emails using Constant Contact.Communicates details pertaining to events to the feet on ground team members for KIG companies in other states.Assists Director with advertising related tasks including but not limited to, advertising budgets, media buying, website updates, campaign analysis and more.Performs additional marketing/ event related tasks as assigned including basic graphic design using tools such as Canva.Performs business development duties as assigned including, but not limited to, delivering treats or flyers to local business or at local events in addition to attending or participating in industry association events in Texas.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by Director, or other members of KIG & operating company Management teams.Schedules and prioritizes workloads by setting appropriate deadlines.COMPETENCIES

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to noisy.Kitchen Showroom - Exposure to live kitchen and laundry appliances.Events may be outdoors, exposure to heat, cold and weather is a possibility.Crowded areas during events such as busy event venues with confined or restricted spaces.Standard office space, with desk, printer, copier, fax, etc..
