Designer, Footwear.
How Do You Fit In?
As Footwear Designer, you will take ownership of instructed portions of the footwear business, create and follow through on designs, contribute to seasonal stories and trends. You will be part of an extremely fast-paced team of passionate and energetic individuals working in the design department for the JFB brands. The ideal candidate is organized, highly energetic, efficient, team-player, self-starter with entrepreneurial mind and strategic vision and is hungry for growth. A love for fashion is a must! This position reports to the Design Director, JustFab & ShoeDazzle.
What you will do:Contribute and collaborate with design team to build the Seasonal Concept stories via providing trend overview, must-haves and color palette and material sourcing that are brand appropriate and focused.Create designs that support line plans, assortment strategies, price points that are consistent with current market trends and are reflective of the brand images.Present monthly Line Build. Ensure all fabrics and developments have already been thought through and are feasible to be produced, as well as meeting the company goals. Organized thinking and presentation skill is a must.Drive Sketches and Pre-Assortment presentations to Merchandising/Buying/Production Teams.Accurate and timely follow through post meetings is exercised to avoid delay and miscommunication.Proactively look to understand selling result and spot opportunities. Be able to speak with data to drive designs and ideas that will elevate brand and increase sell-through. Attend Best Seller and Hindsight meetings with an analytical mind.Create design sketches and tech packs using Adobe Illustrator and PLM respectively, keep style information updated to ensure cross functional teams have access to accurate information at all times.Experience in partnering with developers in both the US and Asia online schedules, adhere to the product development schedule to ensure samples are on track.Assist in fit sessions with cross functional teams throughout the season. Ability to communicate with oversea vendors.Adhere to Global Calendar deadlines and expectations through each milestone point.Build strong cross-functional relationships with Merchandise, Product Development, Production, Marketing and vendors, and proactively communicate pertinent changes and updates timelyWhat you can bring:
A degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experienceMust provide digital portfolio work5+ years previous experience designing Footwear, in women's shoes all categories.Proven track record of identifying trends and delivering results in the fast fashion landscapeExpert understanding of the marketplace and competitive setExceptional knowledge on building a cohesive collection, as well as footwear construction, fit, and materialsExcellent interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group at all levelsAbility to be creative while working with a constant sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment with high output of on-trend styles and multiple deadlinesEntrepreneurial go-getter, highly motivated self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot and be resourceful to solve problemsExpert in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, (create design flats, tech packs, line sheets) Microsoft PowerPoint, Office and ExcelExperience working with a PLM system is a plusPeriodic travel to Asia for product development

The annual base salary range for this position is from
$75,000-$98,000 . The range provided includes the base salary that JF expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate's related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
