Primary Responsibilities
Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Senior Engineer or Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projectsPrepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects including horizontal and vertical alignment, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, roadway drainage, utility coordination, and right-of-way plansParticipate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase, including the development of quantities and estimatesAssist PM in the preparation of scopes, budgets, and schedulesPerform other duties as neededQualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering related fieldEIT or ability to obtain within 12 months of hireProficient with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, (ORD), AutoCAD (Civil 3D) a plusExcellent oral and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culturePreferred
Ohio DOT experienceMinimum 2 years of design experiencePreference given to local candidates
