Your Role

As a

Technical Designer

at Gensler, you will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction administration phase of a project. Your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with a focus on project delivery and an understanding how to produce functionally beautiful designs. You will drive delivery of a project, collaborate with office and regional technical leaders, and develop delivery and process improvement strategy. What You Will DoWork with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and productionResolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutionsProduce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and assist in construction drawingsAssist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordinationParticipate in office culture and initiativesYour Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school0-2

years of related project experienceKnowledge of Revit, Adobe Suite, Rhino preferredOutstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideasKnowledge of InDesign, SketchUp, Grasshopper, Parametric Modeling, a plusFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentAbility to communicate design ideas and direction quicklyA quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentStrong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skillsLEED accreditation a plusDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices
