Marketing Specialist

that will work within our marketing team and with Sales, Nutrition, and our shared services group, located at our headquarters office in Nicholasville, KY and our regional office in Mankato, MN.

Ridley Block Operations manufactures and markets block supplements, loose minerals and dried molasses for livestock. Ridley Block Operations is the largest manufacturer of block forms and is recognized as the industry leader in self-fed supplements. We are seeking a qualified, energetic, Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team, our preference is for candidates based in Central Kentucky or the Mankato, Minnesota area.

ROLE PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for helping to activate Ridley Block Operations’ commercial marketing strategy. The marketing specialist will support customer engagement and business growth through the development of creative content, campaigns and other marketing tools that promote our portfolio of branded products through multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to) :

Contribute to and support the implementation of the overall marketing strategy & budget to build brand awareness, sales growth and customer loyalty.Actively participate in feed division, field and customer meetings to better understand our customer base, the changing needs of the customer and the challenges/opportunities our field staff encounter. Work with all parties to deliver creative, viable and cost-effective solutions to improve product knowledge, accessibility of information and customer support.Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns.Assist in the creation of external and internal marketing messaging (e.g., print, digital, website, blogs, social media, paid media campaigns, etc.)Maintain a pulse on competitor and market trends within the self-fed supplement space, regularly reporting and recommending opportunities to keep our brands relevant to customers and at the forefront of innovation.Assist in the regular review of marketing materials to ensure they adhere to brand guidelines and remain relevant and accurate.IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

~3+ years of experience in business, marketing, animal industry or agriculture-related fieldBachelor’s degree required in marketing, agriculture, animal science or a related fieldAgriculture industry experience (cattle experience preferred)Strong verbal and written communication skills with superior attention to detailProven organizational skills with the ability to properly prioritize projects and simultaneous deadlinesStrong diplomacy skills that demonstrate an ability to build rapport across departments and all levels of an organizationSelf-motivation and the desire to learnHigh level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientationA team-focused attitudeHighly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365Job Environment

Full time, in-office or from home depending on location and experienceStandard working hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. However, this team member must have a flexible schedule and be able to manage events taking place on evenings and weekends as well as during normal business hours due to Alltech’s global footprintAbility to travel domestically (approximate travel: 70% in office, 30% travel to events/trade shows/customers/sales support)
