Job Title: Lead UI/UX DesignerWork Location: Arlington, VA (Onsite 2 days a week required) & RemoteClearance Required: US Citizen, DHS Public Trust

Alpha Omega is currently seeking highly experienced Lead UI/UX Designer to lead our design team and help our federal customer to reinvigorate its customer engagement across the world. We are building a federal design team to enrich digital experience and deliver better services to US Citizens. If you are a compelling storyteller and UI/UX professional who would like to make difference in the way government services are delivered, we would like to provide you that opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with federal customer teams to create intuitive and engaging customer experiences across multiple projects.Lead and guide Strategic System Modernization team to develop industry leading UIs, workflows, User Guides, and other Interfaces.Gather user requirements, document user stories, create wireframes, and ensure requirements are completed in accordance with established standards.Lead and guide PMO team to refactor and migrate content onto the new user experience and test for its effectivenessUnderstand “Why” of customer needs through techniques such as interviews, prototype, benchmarking, surveys, and design workshopsDevelop Information Architecture for each project to improve customer engagementDevelop and implement strategies to deliver iterative progress using agile methodologyDefine, adopt and establish standards and best practicesChampion the prioritization of research & analysis as a basis for making design centered product enhancementsAnalyze, articulate and present findings, solutions and recommendations to federal stakeholders in clear and simple mannerIncorporate best practices for internationalization and collaborate with federal internationalization and localization teams to deliver consistent user experienced in multiple languages.Required Skills:

At least 8 years of experience with UI, graphics design, or digital product designAt least 4 years of experience in user, product, or market researchMaster’s Degree in social sciences, computer science, or relevant field

OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience in UX domain

Relevant certification in User experience, UI/UX or Human centered DesignExperience working in Agile teams using leading UI/UX productsExperience in Front End and Back End software development practicesExcellent communication skills to provide clear, articulate rationale for UIX/UX choices and approach.Experience with collaborative design tools such as InVision, Figma, Sketch or other design toolsFamiliar with React, NodeJS, Storybook, Adobe XDExperience utilizing modeling languages such as UMLProficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Federal experience is a plusDevelopment experience preferred
