Position Summary
We are seeking a talented Front End Developer with a strong focus on UX/UI to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of our websites. (JustWholesale.com and Sailrite.com) The ideal candidate will excel in conceptualizing site layouts, collaborating with copywriters and photographers to design site elements, and implementing updates. A successful website will be optimized, adhere to accessibility best practices, rank well organically, and provide a seamless user experience.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Remote work is not available. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on job demands.
Responsibilities• Design and maintain user-friendly, effective, and visually appealing websites.• Plan and organize website layout and structure.• Identify and correct site errors.• Develop and maintain various website style guides.• Stay current with technological and software advancements.• Resolve any functionality issues promptly.• Act as an effective team member, supporting the team concept.• Collaborate with colleagues inside and outside the department, offering help proactively.• Share information and ideas openly to solve problems, foster innovation, and achieve win-win solutions.• Consistently demonstrate attributes such as trustworthiness, active listening, helpfulness, and straightforward, honest communication.
Required Education and Experience• High school diploma or equivalent minimum.• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, and other web development technologies.• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Experience• Experience with BigCommerce UX/UI.• Graphic design skills with experience in creating visually appealing web elements and UI/UX designs preferred.• Familiarity with HTMX.
Special Position Requirements• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.• Proficiency in:• HTML• JavaScript• CSS• Strong understanding of UX/UI (user experience/user interface) design principles.• Knowledge of SEO (search engine optimization) best practices.• Excellent visual design skills.• High creativity.• Team-oriented mindset.• Strong technical capacity.• Effective time management skills.
