Your profileWe are looking for a person with a university degree in computer science or comparable, as well as special aptitude for scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by a qualified doctorate. The candidate should represent the areas of multimedia knowledge transfer (remote / presence / blended learning), empirical methods of computer science and regulation in teaching and applied research. Relevant professional experience in at least three of the following areas is expected:

Multimedia knowledge transfer, especially in remote and blended learning teaching/learning scenarios.

Methods of empirical social research, in particular the planning, creation, implementation and evaluation of qualitative and quantitative studies.

Management and communication techniques, especially in the area of social skills and computer-aided communication media, mechanisms and processes.

Knowledge of social and legal framework conditions, especially in the area of data protection and security, copyright protection and regulatory requirements in the software development environment.

The specialist areas are to be represented both in teaching and in applied research. Very good didactic skills are a matter of course, as is the willingness to participate in exchanges with our international partner universities and to offer courses in English. In addition, we expect committed participation in teaching in basic subjects and, if necessary, in lectures in related fields. We expect the applicant to integrate well into the existing team both professionally and personally, to be involved in the academic self-administration of our university and to enjoy imparting knowledge from their own professional experience to students. The university has a large number of collaborations with universities and research institutions such as Max Planck and Fraunhofer Institutes and companies, which we would like to intensify and expand. Active participation in the university's research activities is desired. In this context, we are striving to increase third-party funding and the number of cooperative doctorates. We advocate a supervision concept that requires a high presence of teaching staff at the university location. German language skills (at least level C1) and English language skills are required. Our offerThe position is to be filled full-time from summer semester 2025 at the Zweibrücken campus of Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Computer Science and Microsystems Engineering.
