The Associate Director, Retail Media leads all aspects of retail media strategy and buying for the Accelerator Group at Canvas.ResponsibilitiesHigher-level participation on behalf of retail media in all strategic media planning, execution, and assessment activitiesGuide and manage a team of direct and in-direct reports, serving as a resource for team members for advice and counselEnsure accurate and timely completion of all campaign-related and administrative tasks by team (supervisors and below).Lead client discussions on campaign optimizations, testing, course correction, new offerings, and other campaign-centric initiativesAct as an internal agency resource and liaise with other departments to improve knowledge and understanding of retail media offeringsProvide strategic insight during the planning of retail media campaigns to achieve desired business outcomes based on understanding of the client brand and categoryStay current with industry updates and relay details to the immediate team and broader Biddable (Search, Social, Programmatic) team as well as the clientDevelops and maintains a deep understanding of client business and relates this to the growth of the retail media practicePresent campaign performance to key stakeholders in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand fashionManage and introduce strategy development and innovation across different accounts and markets using various research and analysis toolsQualificationsEntrepreneurial self-starter with proven ability to identify opportunities and drive projects from start to finishPossess a solid ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with flexibilityAbility to build and maintain strong internal and external relationshipsPractical verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present in a clear and actionable way, to both internal and client stakeholdersA collaborative team player who can blend independent work within a matrixed structureExperience managing small teams and developing individual talentAnalytical problem solver that is comfortable with data and deriving insightsExperienceProven track record of success in growing and scaling operations in previous roles.3+ years of work experience in retail media platforms including but not exclusive to Instacart, Walmart Connect, Roundel (Target)2+ years of experience managing teams of 2+Experience managing large media budgets and achieving monthly goals for spend and critical performance metricsAbility to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlinesStrong analytical and technical skills in management of ad tech platforms and assembling media reportingHigh competency level in MS Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.Professional and respectful demeanor in dealing with internal and external business partners.Not required but a bonus: Experience with ad serving & bid management platforms (e.g., Skai, Criteo, Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, Marin, Sprinklr, 4C, etc.)Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising a plus
