Your responsibilities will include:Growing and managing a highly talented sales team focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market awareness in this market segment.Developing and accelerating the most effective go-to-market strategies.Leading a broad team of account managers who manage business units of significant size, depth, and complexity specifically focused on the M&E Industry.Building a team culture focused on long-term strategic customer relationships, ensuring AWS' customer obsession culture remains at the forefront of team's focus.Aligning multiple stakeholders and lines of business in and across the M&E account that require complex decision making, including multiple company executives across both the customer and AWS.Deeply understanding the opportunities within the M&E customer and their business needs and finding new ways to articulate these as commercial constructs.Representing customer needs and helping define product requirements to improve adoption and overall customer satisfaction.Negotiating critical relationships within the M&E account, suppliers or other external partners.Operating with significant autonomy, taking actions to resolve problems on behalf of their team and/or issues that are impeding the business.Interacting with senior management or executive levels to gain support for items that require escalation.Building credibility with, earning the trust of, and influencing VP client contacts and internal stakeholders.Influencing with executive-level leadership and potentially speaking externally or otherwise evangelizing AWS platform, services and customers across the M&E industry.

About the teamAWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of technology sales and sales management experienceA BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)Strong leadership and people management skillsProven track record of hiring and developing talent and building teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSIdeal candidate will have this experience with Media & Entertainment customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $168,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $278,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.#J-18808-Ljbffr
